Basketball Recap: Millry Takes a Loss

Millry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 60-51 to the Fruitdale Pirates. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Millry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fruitdale, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millry will be home for the holidays to greet Southern Choctaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fruitdale and Alabama School of Math & Science will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
