Softball Recap: Sunbright Tigers vs. York Institute Dragons
Sunbright scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against the York Institute Dragons as the Sunbright Tigers made off with a 23-8 victory. Sunbright might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 11 runs or more this season.
Braelyn Moss made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Moss was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Alexandra Buchannan was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Mckenna Smith was another key contributor, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
On York Institute's side, Jacklyn Delk made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
