Baseball Recap: Platteview Comes Up Short

Platteview extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 11-12 in the process. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hastings Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

As for Hastings, they now have a winning record of 12-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

For Hastings' part, Isaiah Shaw and Brody Dreher did most of the damage at the plate: Shaw went 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Dreher went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Shaw a new career-high. Clayten Arlt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As of now, neither Platteview nor Hastings have any future games scheduled.
