D1 District 4 (8 Man) recap September 10, 2013

Cross County fell to Palmer 69-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Nebraska Christian led D1 District 4 (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Loup City. Carson Huenefeld ran for 111 yards and caught 1 passes for 23 yards in the win.

High Plains's dynamic duo of Logan Engel and Cole Klingsporn proved tough for Clarkson/Leigh to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Engel threw for 242 yards and 3 touchdowns and Klingsporn had 133 yards receiving. Tyler Martin helped High Plains' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 55 yards.

The Storm's dynamic duo of Engel and Klingsporn proved to be unstoppable against the Patriots, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Huenefeld was the most successful running back in the league this week. Danny Stevens also contributed to the rushing game with 52 yards on the ground.

Klingsporn was the best wideout in the league this week as High Plains topped Clarkson/Leigh.

Engel put up the best numbers through the air as Greg Wood's team topped Jim Clarkson's team.

He was 15-30 with 0 interceptions.

The Storm's Engel and Klingsporn have formed a dream team this season, leading D1 District 4 (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Engel has thrown for 559 yards this season, while Klingsporn has 10 catches for 187 yards. The Eagles' Huenefeld leads the league in rushing yards with 148.

Shelby-Rising City fell from second to fourth in the league, the largest drop in the standings this week. The fall was the result of a 70-30 loss to Heartland last week.
