After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Cobb, East Paulding was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Central Lions 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since August 17th.

Brie Cazares spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ansleigh Broome, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hernandez, who went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.

East Paulding's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 22-6. As for Central, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
