Softball Recap: Randleman Drops Highest Score of Season Against Eastern Randolph

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randleman). They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Eastern Randolph Wildcats on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Addyson Dees was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadie Green, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Roach, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Randleman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern Randolph only posted an OBP of .100.

Randleman's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Eastern Randolph, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coincidentally, Randleman and Eastern Randolph will both be playing Wheatmore the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
