Volleyball Game Preview: Schulenburg Shorthorns vs. Flatonia Bulldogs

Schulenburg has gone 9-1 against Flatonia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Shorthorns will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Schulenburg will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Schulenburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Johnson City as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Schulenburg can attribute much of their success to Jenna Guentert, who had 16 digs and two assists, and Michaela Kollmann, who had seven digs. Guentert has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Meanwhile, Flatonia made easy work of Refugio on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-12.

Flatonia's win bumped their record up to 25-21. As for Schulenburg, their victory bumped their record up to 34-14.

Schulenburg skirted past Flatonia 3-2 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shorthorns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
