Baseball Recap: Pender Comes Up Short

Pender lost against Whiteville last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 14-1. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pender's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Whiteville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Pender will look to defend their home field on Monday against West Columbus at 4:00 p.m. The Patriots are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Whiteville, they will venture away from home to square off against East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight.
