Volleyball Recap: Donna North Comes Up Short

Donna North suffered their biggest loss since October 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-5.

Alliyah Ramirez went supernova For Edcouch-Elsa., getting 25 digs and ten aces. That's the most digs Ramirez has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Timara Leal, who had 11 digs and five aces.

Donna North's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Donna North will square off against Valley View at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they will face off against Skidmore-Tynan at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
