Softball Recap: Norwalk Comes Up Short

After flying high against Firebaugh last Thursday, Norwalk came back down to earth. The Lancers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (19-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Norwalk saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jezrael Acosta, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Norwalk's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Warren, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Norwalk will welcome Bellflower at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Warren, they will head out on the road to square off against Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
