Basketball Recap: Mississinawa Valley Takes a Loss

Mississinawa Valley lost against Arcanum back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks fell 51-41 to the Arcanum Trojans. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arcanum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Flatter led the charge by going 5 of 9 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Ball, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Mississinawa Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Arcanum, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Mississinawa Valley will face off against Twin Valley South at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Arcanum, they will take on National Trail at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Arcanum is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season.
