Softball Recap: Waverly Beats Ludington for Their Third Straight Victory

Waverly put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Ludington Orioles with a sharp 11-1 win.

Sydney Sutton was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sutton is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Daniela Anzaldua was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Waverly's record is now 3-0. As for Ludington, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Waverly beat the Orioles by a score of 16-1 later that day.
