Football Game Preview: Lafayette Generals vs. Tates Creek Commodores

The Lafayette Generals are taking a road trip to challenge the Tates Creek Commodores at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Lafayette made easy work of Henry Clay and carried off a 37-14 win. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Tates Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Paul Laurence Dunbar on Friday, but they still walked away with a 34-30 win.

Tates Creek's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lafayette, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Lafayette, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-30 loss to Tates Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
