Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Georgetown lost to Martin back in August of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Georgetown found their leader in sophomore Jordan Pitkethley, who had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Pitkethley. Mallory Miller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Martin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Georgetown has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Katy Taylor on the 21st. As for Martin, they will square off against Bishop Lynch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
