Heritage recap November 5, 2013

United fell to Bishop Guilfoyle 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Purchase Line led Heritage in scoring this week by notching 40 points on Conemaugh Valley.

Lucas Kowalski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Penns Manor defeated Keystone. He completed 2 passes for 19 yards and also ran for 119 yards. Kowalski's key target this week was Nathan Dumm, who caught 2 passes for 19 yards.

Kowalski was the best running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 119 yards as the Comets fell to Bald Eagle Area. Teammate Bailey Mumau added to the ground attack by rushing for 88 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Rams' Scott Fennell and Alec Bloom have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Fennell has thrown for 1,674 yards this season, while Bloom has 45 catches for 830 yards. Kowalski from Penns Manor leads the league in rushing with 1,009 yards.

Deion Robinson of the Blairsville is just 40 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Robinson has rushed for 960 yards on 173 carries so far this year.
