South Choctaw Academy hasn't had much luck against Patrician Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rebels will square off against the Saints at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Choctaw Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crenshaw Christian Academy 64-18. The win was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on three straight.

Dawson Sikes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 85 yards and two scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September. John Railey also helped with two TDs in total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Choctaw Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 360 rushing yards. They are 6-2 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
South Choctaw Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Railey and Gage Adams. Railey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Patrician Academy made easy work of Edgewood Academy on Friday and carried off a 35-14 victory. With the Saints ahead 22-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
South Choctaw Academy better keep an eye on Remington Faile. He was instrumental in Patrician Academy's win, rushing for 217 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Faile has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ridge Russell, who rushed for 113 yards and one score on only ten carries.
Patrician Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for South Choctaw Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. South Choctaw Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 291.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Patrician Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 374.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
South Choctaw Academy came up short against Patrician Academy in their previous meeting back in September, falling 28-22. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
