Baseball Game Preview: Beverly Panthers vs. Saugus Sachems

The Beverly Panthers will take on the Saugus Sachems at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Beverly is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Beverly came up short against Andover and fell 10-6.

Meanwhile, Saugus also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Peabody Veterans Memorial by a score of 8-4. The Sachems haven't had much luck with the Tanners recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Saugus saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Soroko, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Beverly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Saugus, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Beverly skirted past Saugus 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sachems turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
