Soccer Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Davenport North Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that Clinton have lost by just one goal.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Davenport North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season.

Clinton will take on Davenport West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton are facing Davenport West at the right time seeing as Davenport West are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Davenport North, they will challenge Rock Island at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Island's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
