Winston Salem Christian National had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 8-1 to make it five. They blew past the Lab University Christian Academy National Kings 83-47. With the Lions ahead 47-21 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Bradley Floyd produced another solid effort putting up 19 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. Nicholas Mclean was another key player, earning 14 points.

As for Lab University Christian Academy National, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Winston Salem Christian National: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Payne, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Dancy, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Winston Salem Christian National will take on The Burlington School at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lab University Christian Academy National, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
