Silver Creek typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Frederick proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 13-1 victory. Considering the Golden Eagles have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Payton Torres made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Torres was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ella Stromberg was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Avery Salisbury, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, a stolen base, and a run.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Frederick didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with six strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Creek only tossed three.

Erie's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. As for Frederick, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both team's pitchers. Erie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of 0. However, it's not like Frederick struggles in that department as they've averaged 0. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
