Softball Recap: West Linn Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

West Linn came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lakeridge Pacers with a sharp 19-3 victory. Considering the Lions have won eight matches by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Linn got a great performance from Audrey Tiffany as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Tiffany has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Meg Allen was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wolf, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

West Linn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

West Linn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
