Football Game Preview: Liberty Hill Panthers vs. Brenham Cubs + How To Watch

The Liberty Hill Panthers will face off against the Brenham Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Liberty Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Lanier 62-0. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Pierre Dylan Belinga continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 133 yards and three TDs on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Liberty Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaden Cockburn and Orrin Cole. Cockburn has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Brenham got the win against Texas City on Friday by a conclusive 28-7. That's two games straight that the Cubs have won by exactly 21 points.

Brenham's win came from a few key players Liberty Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cartelle Brown, who picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September.

Liberty Hill's record is now 9-2. As for Brenham, their record now sits at 10-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Liberty Hill has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 480 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brenham struggles in that department as they've been averaging 173.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
