Volleyball Recap: Parker Steskal and Abby Rayer Secure Win for Douglas County West

Douglas County West took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Yutan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcon had just enough and edged out the Chieftains 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcon have posted since October 8, 2024.

Douglas County West was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-100), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 14-25, 15-11.

Leading Douglas County West to victory were Abby Rayer and Parker Steskal. Rayer had 17 digs and two aces, while Steskal had eight digs and one assist. Rayer has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Despite the loss, Yutan still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Govier, who had 14 digs and two aces.
