Baseball Recap: Northeast Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Northeast had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 12-2 to the Atlanta Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Northeast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Messer, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Atlanta now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Northeast will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atlanta, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
