Football Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oceanside Collegiate Academy walked away with it. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-15 victory over the Georgetown Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Landsharks, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Manavian led the charge by throwing for 210 yards and four TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes. What's more, Manavian racked up 166.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Anthony Williams was Manavian's top target, picking up 39 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also punching in one rushing score.

The win was the ninth in a row for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, bringing their record up to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.6 points on average over those games. As for Georgetown, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Oceanside Collegiate Academy will square off against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
