Whitehaven got a massive performance out of Darrius Coble, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of KeShawn Lee, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Whitehaven pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Middle College, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Whitehaven will play host again on Wednesday to welcome Kingsbury, where first pitch is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Whitehaven knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Kingsbury likes a good challenge.
