Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cornerstone Christian can now relate to. They were dealt a 61-28 loss at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now lost five in a row.

Cornerstone Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Faith Hughes, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karli Agnew, who put up six points.

Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Lexington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-15.

Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington, they have already played their next matchup, a 37-31 defeat against Heyworth on the 17th.
