Basketball Recap: Fayette Academy Takes a Loss

Fayette Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 69-43 to the Lakeland Preparatory Lions. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Fayette Academy lost, don't look at Kahne Dozier. Despite the final result, he shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Dozier now owns an excellent 47.3% field goal percentage. Jadon Holley was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Fayette Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Lakeland Preparatory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
