Basketball Recap: Belvidere Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Belvidere can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Jefferson J-Hawks out 64-61. For the Bucs, this counts as revenge for the 58-47 win the J-Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Belvidere's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-11. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Guilford the next time they take the court. Jefferson will host Guilford at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Belvidere will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
