Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Comes Up Short

Jac-Cen-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waldron Mohawks. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mohawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waldron to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Stewart, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Douglas, who posted eight points.

Jac-Cen-Del's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Waldron, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jac-Cen-Del will welcome Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waldron, they will take on Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hauser is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season.
