Softball Preview: Penn Kingsmen vs. Mishawaka Cavemen        
        
		
            
 Penn is 9-1 against Mishawaka since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Penn Kingsmen will head out on the road to  take on  the Mishawaka Cavemen at 6:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Penn's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  13-0 margin over Jimtown. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Penn.
  Olivia Signorino looked comfortable as she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk).
 On the hitting side,  Ava Zachary was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Rumble, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Mishawaka entered their tilt with Goshen with 12 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 13. They put the hurt on the RedHawks with a sharp  16-1 win on Monday.
 Penn is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record  this season. As for Mishawaka, their victory was  their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-3.
 Penn took their  win against Mishawaka  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Penn since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
