Baseball Game Preview: Miramonte Matadors vs. Concord Bears

For the second straight game, Miramonte will face off against Concord. The Matadors will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miramonte's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Concord's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Miramonte will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Concord on Tuesday. The Matadors were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Bears. The victory continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Preston Rguem was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Casey Yung also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Miramonte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Miramonte's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Concord, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
