Baseball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Santa Teresa Saints

The Milpitas Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Santa Teresa Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Milpitas has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 4.

Milpitas lost 14-1 to Wilcox on Friday.

Milpitas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hugo Garay, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Santa Teresa fell victim to Homestead and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Saints have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Milpitas' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Santa Teresa, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Milpitas couldn't quite get it done against Santa Teresa in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 as they fell 8-3. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
