Soccer Game Preview: Lely vs. Estero

Lely hasn't had much luck against Estero recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lely fell victim to Naples and their airtight defense last Tuesday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Estero came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Panthers. Morgan White had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Estero.

Lely's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Estero, their win bumped their record up to 10-1-1.

Lely suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Estero in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
