Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Crossroads Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 72-42 loss at the hands of the Friendship Christian Spartans. The defeat continues a trend for Crossroads Christian Academy in their meetings with Friendship Christian: they've now lost five in a row.

Friendship Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Williams led the charge by putting up 20 points. Williams' afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Elyon Graham, who posted 16 points.

The win made it two in a row for Friendship Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Crossroads Christian Academy and Philadelphia Christian School will face off at 6:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Friendship Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-52 victory against Eastgate Life Academy on the 6th.
