Centura hasn't had much luck against Broken Bow recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Centura Centurions will square off against the Broken Bow Indians at 1:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Centura was able to grind out a solid victory over Centennial, taking the game 2-0.

Centura was dominant in the second set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough Centennial squad. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Broken Bow entered their tilt with Centennial on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Broncos 2-1.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (68-67) Broken Bow actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 26-24, 25-19.

Broken Bow can attribute much of their success to Maren Chapin, who had eight digs and 30 assists. Chapin is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Centura's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Broken Bow, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
