Basketball Game Preview: Ridge View Blazers vs. Sumter Gamecocks

The Ridge View Blazers will take on the Sumter Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge View is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.

Ridge View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Blythewood, who was ranked 13th at the time (Ridge View was ranked ninth). Ridge View walked away with a 64-52 win over Blythewood on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sumter played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 68-44 to Blythewood. The Gamecocks were down 58-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ridge View pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Ridge View beat Sumter 68-60 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridge View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
