Softball Recap: Northview Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Northview hadn't done well against Jay recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chiefs walked away with a 9-5 win over the Royals. For the Chiefs, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 victory the Royals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Aubrey Hadley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Riley Brooks also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Jay fell to 14-1.

Northview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Navarre on the 4th. As for Jay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against West Florida on the 8th.
