Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Sachse's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Sachse's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the North Garland Raiders a 15-0 shutout. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Logan Schultz made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Robinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Kendyl Cruz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Sachse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Sachse has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. North Garland is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coincidentally, Sachse and North Garland will both be playing South Garland the next time they take the field. North Garland will head out to face South Garland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sachse will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
