Basketball Game Preview: Jurupa Hills Spartans vs. Summit SkyHawks

The Jurupa Hills Spartans will square off against the Summit SkyHawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jurupa Hills is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Grand Terrace on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Jurupa Hills lost 77-53 to Grand Terrace. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 918th, while the Titans are ranked 286th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summit, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Eisenhower by a score of 69-56 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the SkyHawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Summit's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Jurupa Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Summit when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 65-55. Does Jurupa Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Summit turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
