Softball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short on the Road Against Parkston

Chamberlain had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 19-4 to the Parkston Trojans on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 20 in a row.

Jovie Vandenbosch was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Emberly Randall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

The victory got Parkston back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Chamberlain will face off against Sioux Falls Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Cubs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parkston, they will take on Vermillion at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
