Basketball Recap: Harlem Comes Up Short

Harlem lost against Rockford Auburn back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harlem Huskies took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockford Auburn Knights. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Knights are ranked 178th).

Harlem dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Rockford Auburn, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Harlem will welcome Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockford Auburn, they and Rockford East will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
