Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Atlantic Christian

Atlantic Christian had won five straight games and Jaidah Chase did her part to make it six on Monday. The Atlantic Christian Sharks walked away with a 40-29 win over the Lake Worth Trojans thanks in part to Chase, who posted 27 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

Despite the loss, Lake Worth saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jocilynne Sweeney scored seven points along with six steals and five rebounds. Sweeney is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Milan Smith, who earned six points.

Atlantic Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for Lake Worth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Atlantic Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-20 victory against Lake Worth Christian on the 14th.
