Mt. Pulaski lost to St. Teresa back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Hilltoppers won by a set and slipped past the Bulldogs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hilltoppers have posted against the Bulldogs since September 11, 2018.

Mt. Pulaski had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Mt. Pulaski found their leader in sophomore Eva Leonard, who had 21 digs and one assist.

Mt. Pulaski is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for St. Teresa, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Mt. Pulaski didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Illini Bluffs on the 7th. As for St. Teresa, they will square off against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
