Mt. Pulaski lost to St. Teresa back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Hilltoppers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hilltoppers have posted against the Bulldogs since September 11, 2018.

Mt. Pulaski had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Mt. Pulaski found their leader in sophomore Eva Leonard, who had 21 digs and one assist.

Mt. Pulaski was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Teresa only served eight.

Mt. Pulaski has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for St. Teresa, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mt. Pulaski wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Illini Bluffs on the 7th. As for St. Teresa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 9th.
