Briarcrest Christian is 8-1 against Father Ryan since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Saints will be playing at home against the Irish at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Father Ryan will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Briarcrest Christian extended their winning streak to three two weeks ago. The Saints were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over St. Mary's Episcopal.

Briarcrest Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Father Ryan made easy work of Girls Preparatory School on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Father Ryan never let Girls Preparatory School on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-19.

Father Ryan's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Briarcrest Christian, their win bumped their record up to 26-8.

Briarcrest Christian beat Father Ryan 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
