Football Game Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. Pisgah Bears

East Henderson is 1-9 against Pisgah since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. East Henderson has given up an average of 48.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Henderson is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Brevard last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles were beaten by the Blue Devils 46-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, Pisgah got the win against Tuscola last Friday by a conclusive 35-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

East Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pisgah, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

East Henderson was taken down by Pisgah 49-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Eagles, Aaron Clark (who threw for 196 yards and four TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 64 yards on only seven carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
