Conway Christian has gone 7-2 against St. Joseph recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Conway Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to  challenge the St. Joseph Bulldogs  at 4:30  p.m. Conway Christian is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last six games.
Conway Christian barely beat Baptist Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Conway Christian blew past Baptist Prep 22-11 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Conway Christian, who have now won five matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
The team  relied heavily on  Isaiah Brister, who  scored four  runs and  stole  Three bases. while going 5-for-6.  Hudson Wheeler was another key player,  scoring four  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while going 2-for-2.
 Conway Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .533. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph posted their closest  victory since April 1, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Atkins  10-9. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
  Trevor Jackson and  Owen Coney did most of the damage at the plate:  Jackson  went 2-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Coney  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. That  triple was  Jackson's first of the season.
 St. Joseph's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Conway Christian, their record now sits at 6-1.
Thursday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Conway Christian has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .532. However, it's not like St. Joseph struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .588. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Conway Christian might still be hurting after the  8-1 defeat they got from St. Joseph  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024. Can Conway Christian avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
