Volleyball Recap: Niwot Comes Up Short

If Niwot was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Air Academy on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Denver South Ravens by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Bella Berger paced Niwot's offense, picking up 21 kills. Berger got some help from Harper Kellner and her 45 assists. Kellner and Berger didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Niwot's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Denver South, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Niwot will challenge Pueblo West at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Denver South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
