Midlothian faced Cosby in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Titans a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Midlothian, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Casey Royle and Lucas Frazier scored all three of Midlothian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Midlothian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six games. As for Cosby, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1-2.

Looking ahead, Midlothian will challenge James River Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cosby, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Atlee on the 12th.
